While filming Dark Tide in Cape Town this summer, art began to imitate life. I refer not to battling great white sharks, but to an act equally as thrilling and fraught with terror. The act... of love.

While Gabe will always be the father and, in a pinch, babysitter of my child, my heart has moved on with my Dark Tide co-star Olivier Martinez. We spent a romantic Sunday in his home city, Paris, last weekend. Riding on the back of his motorcycle through the historic streets, I felt like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday: adored by millions. We dined, then retired to his apartment. As we crossed his threshold, I couldn’t help but cry out in joy, “THIS DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED!”

However, my words do not do this burgeoning romance justice, as I was too lost, too fully embedded in the moment to know what an inspirational site we were to those who were watching. I believe this source said it best in People magazine: "They had their arms around each other as they walked. They were both smiling and laughing. Their body language was very flirtatious. They definitely seemed like a couple--absolutely looked like more than friends."

More than friends? Yes, my subjects. Where will this lead? Who can say. Has Halle Berry at last found true love? My psychic has been consulted. It is not with trepidation I embark down this new path of romance, but bravely looking forward, like my historic September Vogue cover, always asking, “What To Wear Now?” I urge you, my fan base, to do the same.
