Marriage is for life, not just for a year or two. Ashton needs to go back to Demi and they both need to forgive and forget their mistakes. Marriage is a commitment, that takes hard work,love, humility,integrity, gratitude and forgiveness.

Well a lot of nasty comments about Demi and Ashton still her husband. It makes sense to be by her side during this difficult time. She is suffering mentally, and physically from the break up, needs to get proper help from professionals, and get on with her life. This is a cry for help, and a terrible extreme way to get it! Again, those comments that call her rude disgusting names, really need to stop...and again...if you haven't got anything good to say.....dont' say it!...A lot of really mean people on this site...

There is no way Ashton can win in this situation..if he goes to Demi or not, he will be judged either way..there is no way to please everyone but whatever he does will be okay by me, after all they are separated. I'm divorced and I would not expect my ex to stand by me if I was in trouble or sick and we share a child. People get over it!!!!

No question Demi is a complete mess. It seems she has had issues for many years. To put the blame entirely on Ashton, is not fair. He may have cheated, but Demi certainly is as much to blame for the problems in their marriage as he is. After all, it takes two to make a marriage work and when one person cheats, the cheating usually is a symptom of a bigger issue in most cases. Couples who are truly happy and content in their relationship, cheating is typically not a factor. Thats my two cents.

You can't blame Ashton for his actions. Afterall she is too much older for him, and especially at every woman's time in life when they are going through the change, women can become unbearable to live with. She's just going to have to get over it and start a new life. She is a very pretty woman and will have other suitors (not husbands).

To Lynn: Come on now ... wake up & smell the roses! Demi has had a "history" ... leave the young fellas alone now. Why do people speculate all the time about what happened. Its none of anyone's business. You should not judge people. Especially when you don't even know what happened.

If that is the case and Ashton has rushed to Demi's side then the intention is good BUT it might just backfire when he leaves again. Sorry Demi but it's just time to grow up, move on and stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Addition is a bugger but we all have struggles.

Maybe it is her drug issue that has caused the breakup? Who knows how long he may have been trying to manage it with her. Addictions are nasty things and some never really get over them. We only know what we read in the news

I had 3 girlfriends break up from long term marriages and they all dropped a dramatic amount of weight in a short period of time. Mind you they all looked fantastic, they called it the "seperation diet" when people asked how they did it. Demi was thin to start with, she couldn't afford to lose anymore weight. During these difficult times, women tend not to eat or sleep and I'm sure it is the same case with Demi. That's probably why she looks so awful.

Wrong, Cam, they're married on paper only now. As mentioned already below, no point in giving her 'false hope' of the relationship surviving by being at her side.

One would hope he has expressed any concern he has to to her somehow; but to see her would be a mistake. No point in giving her false hope, if that is what her behaviour is based on. Some good psycho help and rehab is needed for Demi. Another thorn-in-the-side as one one ages is that the body finds it harder and harder to recover from repeated assaults of drugs/alcohol.
