The 19-year-old actress-singer was photographed wearing what looked like a diamond engagement ring, leading many to angrily wonder if Selena’s boyfriend, Justin Bieber, had popped the question. No, silly, says Gomez’s rep, who told Us Weekly: “She is not engaged.” That sound you heard was a giant sigh of relief the size of a bag filled with Bieber’s hair from his last trip to the barber.

Here we go, another weight story. If it’s not someone gaining or losing pounds, it’s a Victoria’s Secret model’s controversial diet plan that makes the cut. Jessica Simpson, Julia Roberts and Mariah Carey have all made headlines because of their issues with weight; now, the latest to be targeted by some online meanies is Miley Cyrus.
As of late, the 18-year-old has kept a fairly low profile, so when she was recently photographed with a “fuller figure” (something I still don’t see), the haters came out in droves and critics chimed in, claiming she has lost control of her body. Here we go again.
After jokes about her weight surfaced online, along with videos posted on YouTube with titles like “Miley Cyrus is 213 Pounds,” Miley didn’t start bawling into a tub of Ben & Jerry’s and supersized McDonald’s combo. Instead, she fired back on Twitter, giving everyone who thought they were so HI-larious a big, fat piece of her mind. Got that, y’all?

It hasn’t been a good week for Selena Gomez. Not only has the crazy train pulled in, claiming that her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, hopped on board, but Selena’s alleged stalker has pleaded not guilty and an LAPD detective says the star has reason to fear for her life. TGIF.

Demi Lovato has made such huge strides since coming out of rehab. It’s been great to see her take ownership of her issues and be so open about her struggles to work through them. For those of you who don’t recall (or are perhaps confused by a second Demi appearing in these pages), Demi the Younger went through a bout of violence, self-harm, and addiction that landed her in some big trouble with the law, and perhaps even more dangerously, with her evil Disney overlords.
But instead of blaming everyone else for her problems, girlfriend womaned up, admitted she had issues and did something about it. For that reason alone, I think she’s a much better role model than so many other tween stars (ahem *Miley* ahem), despite how shady things got before Demi went for help.
Unfortunately, there’s no such rehab for horrible taste in men.

It wasn’t long ago that Selena Gomez was incurring the wrath of some of Justin Bieber’s more avid fans, when the not-so-affectionately named Bieberphiles were wishing very bad things on their obsession’s girlfriend.
Now, Selena, 19, is facing a more serious death threat (read: not from teenage girls via Twitter and Facebook). The singer-actress has a stalker — who is known to police for his criminal history of stalking — and his threats are so dire that she has obtained a restraining order against the guy.

Justin Bieber has shown his romantic side when it comes to Selena Gomez. He rented out the Staples Center so he and his girl could watch Titanic (well, technically, he got the venue for free, but still), and just days ago, Justin, who was in Brazil to perform, and Selena took a helicopter ride so they could soar over Rio de Janeiro and be king and queen of the world. Awww.
Bieber has also said he wants to be married and/or start a family by the time he’s 25. Will he still be with Selena then? Not if she keeps letting her boyfriend wear the baggy, saggy pants. See, Justin might take his girl on romantic dates and appear to be the ideal boyfriend, but a body language expert for Hollywood Life is ready to dash that teenage dream. According to Dr. Lilian Glass, pictures of Justin and Selena indicate that the couple’s relationship is far from healthy. It seems walking ahead of Gomez is a sign that Bieber is a “controlling boyfriend.” Seriously.

It’s been a few months since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth reunited. The two, who met on the movie The Last Song, dated for more than a year before they split last August. No biggie. At the time, she was 17, he was 20, and it wasn’t a shocker that their young love didn’t last. It happens. There aren’t a lot of us who are still with our teenage loves; I think of who I was dating at that age and laugh, then shudder, at the thought.
It was never confirmed why they broke up, but since they had, Miley kept a lower profile, and turned the Mileyness down to a minimum. Well, guess what happened? She and Liam got back together this past June. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Now, they (she, in particular) seem different; more mature, less look at me, look at me.
Us Weekly (via Celebitchy) is reporting the reasons why Miley, 18, and Liam, 21, are making their relationship work a second time around: he got her to chill the heck out.
